We've worked with some great make up artists over the last few years and Jo Bilham has a gentle and friendly approach when it comes to bridal make-up.
Here at Married in Leeds, we're always fans of alternative wedding venues. Steeped in history with original beams and fabulous real ales,
We caught up with Simon from Cherry Pie Autos to find out a little bit more about the wedding car hire business
When did you start Cherry Pie?
Cherry Pie autos started in 2012
What’s the best thing about doing the job you do?
Sharing the passion for 1950s Auto Americana
What does Cherry Pie do that is better than anyone else?
Select models of cars that you will have never seen on the road before.
What makes your business unique?
Rare cars that you can’t hire from anyone else, for example only 65 Desoto Firedome Coupes are left on the worldwide register.
What kind of training have you had?
I have owned and driven old American cars since I was 20 years old.
What do you think the future of the wedding industry holds for your business?
A lot depends on possible Law Commission proposals to bring wedding cars into private hire licence rules which would pretty much see the end of people using vintage vehicles (hopefully not).
What do you enjoy when you’re not doing weddings?
Walking in the countryside or when the weather is too bad looking on the internet for more cars!
What do you predict the next wedding trend will be?
Vintage themes will continue to be popular.
If you were getting married, what would be the one product of your own that you would choose?
Any would be nice but probably my 1956 New Yorker St.Regis as it was the first car I personally imported from California and I have a soft spot for it.
What’s the number one piece of advice that you would give to couples planning their wedding?
Plan early, try to relax and enjoy the day, don’t get too stressed about the smaller things.
